Frozen food supermarket Iceland will be selling veg online for 1p until Thursday to help with the cost of living crisis.

The offer means that veg that normally costs 99p or £1 has been slashed to just 1p per pack. The deal includes 40 products across both fresh and frozen vegetables.

To take advantage of the offer, online shoppers can add their chosen pack of Easter vegetables to their basket and enter the code ‘ICE1VEG’ when they check out to receive the discount.

All fresh vegetables included in Iceland’s offer will have ‘Best Before’ dates that fall after Easter Sunday.

Iceland's offer runs from Tuesday until 11pm on Thursday 14 April.

Richard Walker, managing director at Iceland, said: “Our 1p vegetable sale was so popular at Christmas, especially when so many other supermarkets hike up the prices of their roast ingredients, that we decided this was a no-brainer to run it again this Easter.

“If we can help people who are feeling the pinch right now to save a few vital pennies while enjoying the same amazing quality of vegetables, then we’ll have done our job of being the supermarket that shoppers can rely on.”

The discount chain launched a similar offering during the Christmas period, when it dropped the prices of its vegetables to 1p.
