Forget food towers! This is now the season of the Maine Seafood Lighthouse! What is a Maine Seafood Lighthouse? It’s an edible display of seafood in the form of a lighthouse. And not only is this edible lighthouse an epic experience all on its own, but it actually comes with a stay in a real one.

That’s right! Not only can you get an edible seafood lighthouse, but you can also stay in a real Maine Lighthouse. It’s a chance to combine two of our favorite things – seafood and travel.

So what exactly is this all about and how can you get your hands on one of these lighthouses of deliciousness?

According to the press email we received on behalf of Maine Seafood,

In partnership with Luke’s Lobster and SoPo Seafood, we’ve replaced the typical seafood tower with this Maine icon so you can wow your guests with an edible tribute to the state’s 65 iconic lighthouses, all while serving up the freshest seafood its coastline has to offer.

So that’s the foodie part. But what exactly is the travel part of this experience? Well, I am so glad you asked.

In that same email they explained,

Pair your dining experience with the real thing. Each comes with a stay at an actual Maine lighthouse (list of lighthouses and a gift card provided for booking).

Of course, we are truly all about the Seafood Lighthouse! And that means we needed to know more.

On the shopping page for the Maine Seafood Tower over on Luke’s Lobster website we get a checklist of everything we get for our $325. So what all comes with this tower purchase?

But wait! That’s just the checklist of what you get if you head to Luke’s Lobster. Over on the SoPo Seafood site, there is a completely different checklist and price. For $350, you will get:

Now we don’t know about you fellow Guilty Eaters, but we are pretty much in love with this entire thing. And while we are allergic to scallops and would likely ditch those immediately, we would totally snag one of these for the chance to experience something so unique and even delicious.

Of course, this is a limited edition offering from both companies as a way to shine a spotlight on the magic that is Maine Seafood. And we love that they are being innovative by not only taking the idea of a seafood tower in a whole new direction, but also adding a touch of travel to the experience.

But we want to know what you think of this opportunity. Would you purchase a Seafood Lighthouse with a stay at an actual lighthouse? What do you think of the price when you consider everything you get?
