Promenade at Coconut Creek has announced an ambitious slate of new retail stores that have opened or are planning to open this year, following an extensive repainting project.

The open-air mixed-use lifestyle center, occupying 23 acres within easy driving distance of Parkland, Deerfield Beach, West Boca and Coral Springs, opened in 2008 at the intersection of Lyons and Wiles roads.

It features more than 45 stores, boutiques and restaurants, including fashion retailers Chico’s, Francesca’s, Lane Bryant, Soma Intimates, several salons and fitness clubs, and more than a dozen eateries.

Promenade is anchored by the 11-screen luxury cineplex Silverspot Cinema and by Guitar Center.

Lovesac, a Stamford, Connecticut-based furniture chain established in 1995, bills itself as a “technology-driven business that designs, manufactures and sells unique, high-quality furniture derived through its proprietary Designed for Life approach.” The furniture is built to last a lifetime and “evolve as their customers’ lives do.” Offerings include modular sofas called Sactionals, premium foam beanbag chairs called Sacs, and other home decor accessories. The 1,045-SF showroom will be located between Brighton Collectibles and European Wax Center.

A hair color company, Madison Reed boasts of its commitment to making “salon-gorgeous hair color” products made with a formula that’s free of ingredients typically used in other hair color brands, including paraphenylenediamine (PPD), ammonia, parabens, resorcinol, phthalates, gluten, SLS, and titanium dioxide. The 2,171-square foot salon — the chain’s sixth in South Florida — is scheduled to open in late fall between Starbucks and Amazing Lash Studio.

This 1,800 square-foot fast casual vegan restaurant, scheduled to open at Promenade’s Back Porch, will be a 100% plant-based, dairy-free restaurant with meatless versions of cheeseburgers, “chick’n” sandwiches and nuggets, plus fries, salads, wraps, frozen treats and more. CEO Steele Smiley previously developed Crisp & Green, which boasts 100 locations open or in development nationwide. Five Stalk & Spade locations are planned in South Florida.

With 20 locations in South Florida, The Spot offers “classic grooming services in a modern setting.” Customers will be able to request everything from hot towel shave treatments to straight razor shaves. The 1,491 square-foot shop is scheduled to open this winter between Stalk & Spade and Burs Green Thumbs.

One-on-one customized assisted stretch sessions are this fitness center’s selling point, based on the concept that “no two bodies are the same and no two stretches at StretchLab are the same,” the news release said. The center’s “flexologists” — a term trademarked by StretchLab — will help identify tightness and imbalances in clients’ bodies and develop stretching routines that will lead to a wider range of motion and flexibility. The 1,614 square-foot studio, one of 12 planned across the state, will open next to YogaSix.

Customers will be able to build their own bouquet by selecting from an array of fresh flowers and bringing them up to the “flower bar,” where the shop’s team will create custom-made arrangements. Rare and exotic plants will also be available. The 810 square-foot store will be located across from Soma and next to Mama Asian Bistro.

After building a following at the soon-to-close Festival Marketplace in Pompano Beach, owner Lorena Rodriquez opened this boutique in a 1,252 square-foot showroom between Francesca’s and Revival Boutique. It offers handcrafted jewelry and an eclectic line of clothing and accessories that she says celebrates each wearer’s unique style.

An eatery that got its start decades ago in a gas station on South Beach, Carrot Express now has 16 South Florida locations and one in New York City. This one’s located behind Starbucks. Homemade carrot cake is its specialty, but it also boasts a “creative and extensive menu based on natural, high-quality ingredients combined with a fun, comfortable and relaxed environment,” according to the release. Wraps, “power bowls,” healthy burgers, avocado toast and fresh, unique salads make this a popular choice. The 2,354 square-foot eatery opened earlier this year.
