Whataburger opened its newest restaurant at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport on Saturday, April 23.

Whataburger is expanding its wings at the Dallas Fort Worth Airport by adding a second location in Terminal D, which serves international carriers. The fast-food joint opened its newest restaurant on Saturday, April 23, according to a news release from the company.

The new Whataburger will serve up the favorite fresh, never-frozen burgers, as well as other popular menu items including French fries, onion rings, chicken strips, and shakes. It's the second Whataburger at the airport as the first opened at Terminal E in 2019.

Following opening day, the restaurant will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily to help feed some of the nearly 200,000 hungry travelers that pass through the massive airport each day.

"The new Whataburger is the latest in a series of massive improvements to Terminal D over the past few years," Whataburger Franchisee Gilbert Aranza stated in a news release. "We can't wait to serve both brand-new and returning customers a taste of what Texas is all about."

For those interested in working at the Dallas Fort Worth airport restaurant, Whataburger said you can visit starcons.com for more information on competitive benefits, salaries and more.

The chain also has locations at Love Field, George Bush International Airport, and soon at the San Antonio International Airport, which is opening later this year.

Expansion plans continue to kick off for Whataburger after the company was bought by Chicago-based BDT Capital Partners in 2019. In April, Whataburger announced its plans to open several spots in Atlanta.
